Geared toward intermediate- and advanced-level players, Moore's lessons focus on the theory of chord and scale relationships and how they relate to the fretboard; position playing; and scales with demonstrations of the different scales that go along with major, minor, dominant seventh, and half-diminished chords ively. He presents them methodically, and then applies the scales to soloing over a basic jazz chord progression. Moore presents the most important step in understanding the relation between jazz chords and melody. Viewers will need some familiarity with major and minor scales.
